Little known fact, but in most of Eastern Europe war didn't end in 1945.

Gorilla warfare from local resistance movements who were fighting throughout the war, continued after it's officiall ending.

In Ukraine, remnants of vast network of pro-independence fighters were active AT LEAST until 1954. In many neighboring countries like Poland and Belarus same.

And we are talking only about actual "hidden army" sort of stuff. Because like factory workers, teachers and students could access different non-violent methods of protest, like contraband, listening to non-approved radio waves or creating bootleg books and records for distribution "illegal materials", such as western or national art.

And there were whole political and philosophical movements, like Ukrainian Helsinki Group(УГГ). It's members were documenting and showing human rights violations inside of the Soviet union. For that many, if not most of group members were tortured, sent into prison/labour camp for DECADES and often killed, either directly or through putting so much strain on their body they just withered away.

War, in fact, did not end in 1945. It continued through the whole existence of soviet union, it continued after it's dissolution, and it continues right now, not only in Ukraine, but in almost every country in Europe, Central Asia or even Africa.

With international attention focused on Israel’s genocide in Gaza, Israel is violently and rapidly stealing more and more Palestinian land in the West Bank.

Israel’s most genocidal leaders are seeing through plans to force as many Palestinians out of their homes as possible in order to ensure they can never return.

“For every country that unilaterally recognizes a Palestinian state, we will establish a [illegal] settlement,” said Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.

Let’s be clear, stealing Palestinians land has been Israel’s goal since day 1. It’s illegal, it’s wrong, and it must be stopped.

No one is above international law. The Biden administration should be pushing Israel to abide by international law, not enabling its war crimes against Palestinians.

Like all people, Palestinians deserve to be safe and free in their homes.

The Israeli army is just shooting anyone they think is Palestinian, much the same way that Israel is indiscriminately bombing all of Gaza, including the “safe zones” where they have directed noncombatant civilians to go right before they bomb them anyway. It’s war crimes, plain and simple.
